Ina J. Cusick

Ina J. Cusick, 92, passed away January 6, 2022.  Ina was born January 31, 1929 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Thomas G. Cates and Rosa E. (Harris) Cates. She graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri. On August 24, 1950, Ina married Charles “Charlie” E. Cusick. She loved to listen to her husband Charles play guitar and sing, she loved God, reading the Bible and ice cream. Most of all, Ina loved her husband and her family. She attended her father’s church, Dodson Tabernacle and then the Blenheim Assembly. She was always helping others and was a prayer warrior throughout her life. Ina was a homemaker for many years before working in the cafeteria at the Center School District, retiring after 35 years of service.

Ina was preceded in death by her husband Charles Cusick in August of 1988. Survivors include her son Charles T. Cusick and his wife Cyndi; daughter Edith A. McCollom and her husband Phil; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 12PM, with services to follow at 1PM, Friday, January 14, 2022 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.  Masks will be required for all those in attendance.
