Dale Allen Young Sr., aged 70 years, passed away peacefully. He was surrounded by his dearest loved ones and friends at his home in Kansas City, MO.

Services will be: Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 12 in the afternoon with visitation beginning at 11am.

Mr. Young was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Clyde A. and H. Christine Young. He lived in South Kansas City since the age of five. He graduated class of 1973 from Center Sr. High School. He was married to Barbara J (Marchant) Smith in 1973 until 1988. He worked 30 years for the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and retired as a heavy equipment operator III for the Streets Department in 2011. Dale was a bold and loving man who helped raise 8 children and fostered several neighborhood teens. He loved fishing, hunting, and traveling. Most of all, he loved being with his family as often as possible. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde A. Young (1922-1982), H. Christine Young (1928-2010). And his brother, Charles L. Young (1951-1998) Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Cheryl L. Young of the home; Three sons; Lee D. Smith Jr (Vickie) of Texas, Dale A. Young Jr. (Taunya) of Liberty, MO, Jacob A. Young of the home. Five daughters; Tina R. Smith of Kansas City, MO, Regina L. Stuteville (Brad) of Archie, MO, Cassandra S. Young (Austin Butterfield) of North Kansas City, MO, Sabrina L. Woods (Ian) of Independence, MO, Savannah M. Young (Andrew Knickerbocker) of Raytown, MO. One sister, Rita K. Young of Kansas City, MO. One sister-in-law, B. Sue Young of Grandview, MO. One brother-in-law, S. Bradford Macklin of Council Bluffs, IA. Three nephews; two nieces; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous cousins and uncountable friends and neighbors.
