Shirley A. Dalton

Shirley A. Dalton, 82, passed away January 25, 2023.  Shirley was born on June 16, 1940 in Alderson, West Virginia. She grew up mostly in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1957 she graduated from Hyde High School in Chillicothe, Missouri, shortly after, she married Russell Lee Rinehart and went on to raise five children. In 1989 she married Thomas Dalton. Shirley worked for the IRS from 1987 until her retirement in 2000. Shirley's great love was for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her father James Turner, mother Mona Turner, daughter Cathy, son Rusty, brothers Eugene and Michael and grandson Kabrin. She is survived by her husband Tom, daughters Roxanne Rinehart, Kelly Carver, son-in-law Chris Carver and son Brian Rinehart. Sister Linda Brewer and brother Donald Turner. Grandchildren Jeremy, Troy, Noel, Tylan, Krysta, Morgan, Haley and Lauren. Great-grandchildren Meadow, Ayden, Noah, Savannah, Holden, Roman, Zaylen and Gionna. Aunt Janet and Uncle Charles, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. The family would like to thank the skilled, professional and enormously caring people of Saint Luke's East Hospital, Saint Luke's East Cancer Specialists, The University of Kansas Cancer Center and Saint Luke's Hospice House for their extraordinary care and support.

Visitation will be 12PM, with services to follow at 1PM, Tuesday, January 31 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.
