Darryl K. "Tugg" Washington, age 47, passed away April 17, 2024. A Homegoing Celebration will be 9:30am, Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Park Lawn Funeral Home.
Darryl K. "Tugg" Washington was born August 21, 1976, in Kansas City, Missouri to parents of Darryl D. Washington and the late Willa J. Washington. He was baptized at Calvary Temple in Kansas City, Missouri. Tugg was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri Public Schools and received his GED in 1994. During his sophomore year at Southwest High School, he met the love of his life, Jamee Furman in 1991. Later he enrolled in the Job Corps in Excelsior Springs, MO where he received training in masonry.
Distance and time would not break the love bond that Tugg had for Jamee. When he returned to Kansas City, MO, Tugg and Jamee started a love friendship that would last until his death. More than 30 years! To this relationship was born on January 20, 1999, Mahogony Washington. There were four women Tugg loved from birth to eternity: the late Willa Washington (mother), Jamee Furman (special friend), Mahogony Washington (daughter). and Michala Furman (stepdaughter).
Tugg's passion was being a bartender at Isle of Capri. He loved talking to his customers. He worked there for 15 years.
Darryl K. departed this life on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at his home. Tugg leaves to cherish his memories: father Darryl D. Washington (Pennie), sister Trishon Washington, daughter Mahogony Washington, grandson Melodious Washington, stepdaughter Michala Furman, step granddaughter Iyah-Lynn Bessant, special friend Jamee Furman, aunt Terrye Chavis, uncle Howard Washington, nephews Baylor Washington and Jeremiah Milleson, cousins Erica (Jason) and Robin (Apana), and a host of family, relatives, and friends.
