David Ross Hutson

           David Ross Hutson, 66, of the Kansas City Northland, passed away September 6, 2023, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center with family at his side.

          Dave was born June 29, 1957, in Kansas City, MO, the eldest of three children of Robert Liggett and Sylvia Elaine (Fitzpatrick) Hutson.  He attended school in Liberty and graduated from Liberty High School in 1975.  Dave was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Debra Lynn Moehlman, on May 31, 1980, and they were blessed with two children, David Brandon and Abigail Leigh.  Dave was a carpenter in the Liberty area all his working life.

          Along with his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a sister, Dana Elaine Casey.  He leaves his wife of 43 years, Debbie; children, Brandon Hutson (April) and Abby Hutson; grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Luke, Jaiden, Mikynlee, Jaxon, and Braydon; a sister, D’Ann Hutson Clark (Ron); as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

          Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm Saturday, September 16, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Burial will be at a later date in Glenridge Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to IAFF Local 42 Community Assistance (www.iaff42.org).
