David Ervin Meinsen, 72, passed away peacefully in his home on May 2, 2024. He was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
David was born on July 25, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri. David graduated in 1969 from Raytown High School. He attended Penn Valley College and received an associate degree in computer science in 1971. David was a member of the Missouri Army National Guard for six years. He worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City as a computer programmer/analyst for 18 years before going into consulting in 1989. He helped start Midwest Consulting Group (named after his father’s business) in 1993. David also worked at TWA. Sprint, IBM, and HP. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work and dedication. At the time of his death, he was retired.
But more than anything, David was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren,
David was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Martha. His memory will be forever held in the hearts of his surviving family: his children, Jennifer, Stacy, and Crystal; his grandchildren, Kayleigh, Dawson, and Alexandra; niece, Sarah; and two great nieces, Lucy, and Piper.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be planned, likely in July. More details to follow regarding the celebration of life.
