Donald D. Degenhardt

Donald D. Degenhardt, 90, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away October 20, 2021.  Don was born June 1, 1931 in Du Quoin, Illinois to the late Joseph and Ruth (Danbury) Degenhardt.  Don was a systems analyst for most of his career.  He served in the United States Air Force and loved baseball.  He met the love of his life playing the game he loved in the Air Force in Omaha, Nebraska.  Don was a member of the Ruskin Heights Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and was in the Mariner's Group at church.  Don loved spending time with his family, watching sports and playing cards.  Don married Marilyn Murphy on September 9, 1956.  He is survived by his children Carolyn Terry (Les), Denise Andrews (Tim), and Thomas Degenhardt (LeAnn); six grandchildren Jesse Terry (Laura), Lauren Porter, Jill Roberts (Mark), Allison Edwards (Jared), Melinda Degenhardt and Timothy Degenhardt; and four great grandchildren Grayson and Nolan Terry and Porter and Violet Edwards.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marilyn and brother Gene.

Visitation will be 9:30AM, with memorial services to follow at 10:30AM, Friday, October 29, 2021 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.
