Delma Kay Melton, 85, passed away May 14, 2024 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Park Lawn Funeral Home (8231 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri 64138) Visitation will be from 9:00 -10:00am Thursday prior to the service. Graveside services will be at 2:00pm Thursday at Memory Garden Cemetery, Lamar, Missouri.

Kay was born May 13, 1939 in Lamar Missouri to Roy and Marie (Armstrong) Bass. She was a loving wife and mother, who cherished spending time with her family. She had a great sense of humor and a passion for cooking. Kay was know for her selflessness and putting the needs of her loved ones above her own.

She is survived by her husband, John Lee Melton, Her daughter Lisa K. Melton, Her son John D. Melton as well as her grandchildren Tara, Jonathan, Savanna, Aubrey and Dusty
