Carol Ann Ditamore

February 4, 1943 — May 2, 2020

Carol Ann (Tausch) Ditamore entered into eternal rest on May 2, 2020. She was the only daughter of four children born to Ernest and Frieda (Schmidt) Tausch. Carol was born in Gashland, MO but graduated from Southeast High School in K.C., MO. She married Dave Roberts and that marriage resulted in two sons, David Roberts who passed away a few days after birth, and Chris W. Roberts born in 1970.

After that marriage ended she met and later married Marlyn Ditamore who brought two sons into her second marriage in 1981, which lasted 39 years to present time. These three sons provided eight grandchildren who were each the shining lights that totally lit up her life. Though she was a bookkeeper almost all her life, she thought of herself as a proud professional grandparent.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son, and her older brother John C. Tausch. She is survived by her husband Marlyn, three sons: Chris Roberts, Mike Ditamore, and Stephen Ditamore, as well as eight grandchildren: Tristyn, Skylar, and Brendan Roberts, Addison and Jackson Ditamore, Ryan and Carter Moore, and Chloee Riley. She also leaves behind two brothers, Harold and Ernest Tausch, two sisters-in-law, Jeanna and Catherine Ann Tausch, as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be a cremation and a private family burial service as soon as practical. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date when current circumstances improve.
