Donald Joseph Albers

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Donald Joseph Albers, born on August 4, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the youngest child of Alvera and Raymond Albers. He died on August 11, 2023, in Olathe, Kansas.

Donald was a loving husband to Lucida Albers. He was a devoted father to Cecilia and Corwin Albers and a cherished brother to Ken Albers. He was also a proud grandfather to Charlotte and Barrett Albers.

Donald was known for his creativity and sense of humor, which he used to bring joy to all those around him. He had a special talent for bringing people together and shared his passion for Dungeons and Dragons with many people. Including his children and nephews who still meet regularly to play.

A visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO 64138. The rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at St. John Francis Regis Parish, 8941 James A. Reed Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64138. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Raytown, Missouri. Memorials and contributions are suggested to St. John Francis Regis Parish.
