Dru Schultze

July 3, 1985 — March 17, 2025

Dru Worth Schultze, age 39, died unexpectedly on March 17, 2025. Dru was born in North Kansas City, MO on July 3rd, 1985 (just in time for the Royals World Championship) to Marilyn Worth Langton and Victor Schultze.

His education was in the Liberty Public School District and his employment career saw him work for various big box retail establishments, but his passion was the many years he worked as an Ambassador for the Downtown Community Improvement District providing security, maintenance and beautification to his sector of the City of Kansas City. At ‘DCID’ he was annually awarded for his perfect attendance, and along the way he made friends with residents, business owners, street people and a long, long list of lifelong friendships with coworkers.

Dru was generous, loyal to a fault (if there is such a thing), loved all sports (basketball the most), friends from all walks, of course his family, but most of all, his three children, Aubrie, Kendal and Bella. He enjoyed history, movies and all critters of the dog and cat variety.

Dru was preceded in death by Aunts Nancy Worth O’Reilly and Vanda Schultze Frantz, as well as Uncles Buddy (Murrell) Worth, Jeff Filbeck and Dick Frantz.

He is survived by his parents, stepfather Mike Langton, children Aubrie Rose Schultze, Kendal Worth Schultze and Bella Allison Joanne Schultze, brother Denton (wife Claire) Bishop, Aunt Kim Filbeck, Uncle J. Ed O'Reilly, and cousins Kaitlin Worth Benefiel, Chris Brashear, Vickie Brown, Valerie Gallup, Lindsy Lawyer, Jesse Snodgrass and Ryan Worth.

Visitation is scheduled for 2pm to 3pm, Friday, March 28, 2025 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 1640 Rte 291, Liberty, MO 64068, with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers or donations, please do something Dru would have enjoyed, a simple Random Act of Kindness to/for someone else.

The family would like to thank the caregivers, hospital staff of the ER and ICU Departments, and the 7th floor of Liberty Hospital, Liberty, MO.
