Duane Hensley was born on January 14, 1969, in Kansas City Missouri. He grew up in a family that moved around quite a bit spending time in Missouri and Texas. Duane’s roots deepened in Kansas City, where he graduated Winnetonka High School. After many years, he reconnected with Laura Young.

Stationed in California as an aviation electrician, he played a crucial role in maintaining the intricate computer systems of jets. His dedication to his work mirrored the spirit with which he approached every endeavor in life.

Returning to Kansas City after his time in Texas as an electronic technician, Duane brought with him not just skills, but a genuine affection for those around him. He was a man who thrived on the happiness of others, always catering to their needs and showering them with a love that was both heartfelt and unpretentious and constantly sought to spread joy in small yet profound ways.

Those who knew Duane describe him as a fun and kind-hearted person. He was a thoughtful soul who tried, endlessly, to be a great man, looking out for everyone with a gentle compassion that left a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who knew him.
