Virginia Lee Marcum Dunn, "Ginger", 52, of Parkville, passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2020, at St. Luke's Plaza Hospital with loved ones at her side.
Ginger was born June 30, 1968, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO, the eldest of two children of Jack A. and LaMoine (Oyer) Marcum. Her father preceded her in death.
Ginger graduated from Olathe South High School in 1986 and received her BS degree in Nursing from St. Luke's School of Nursing. Her nursing career included work in Med Surg and Oncology at St. Luke's on the Plaza, six years as a Hospice Nurse for Kendallwood Hospice, and most recently as a Care Coordinator for United Health Care.
Ginger leaves her three children, Joey Dunn, Amy Dunn and Stephen Dunn; mother, LaMoine Marcum; brother, Alexander Marcum; niece and nephew, Isabella and Randall Marcum; as well as other family members and friends too many to count.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from1:30-3 pm Thursday, November 19, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Due to COVID restrictions, services will be private.
