Elizabeth Fay Covey

Elizabeth Fay (Sedgwick) Covey, 74, of Kingston, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be planned on her farm in Kingston.

Elizabeth was born on May 2, 1949 in Carrollton, Missouri to Willis W. and Alice Virginia (Johnson) Sedgwick. She grew up and attended school in Carrollton. In March of 1971, she was united in Marriage to Richard Eugene Covey. They were married for 51 years before his passing on September 17, 2022. She worked for Midwest Hanger in Kansas City for many years. She enjoyed being at home with her two dogs, Bella and Tucker. She was also a very good artist and created many beautiful drawings.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; twin sister, Kay Cooper; and brothers, Bill Sedgwick and Jimmy Sedgwick. She is survived by her children, Richard Covey, Kelle Covey, Bob Covey and wife Leeanne, and Ron Covey and wife Mindee; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and brothers, Jack Sedgwick and Wayne Sedgwick.
