Mary Elizabeth (Bailey) Elmore

Mary Elizabeth (Bailey) Elmore, 70, of Independence, MO, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm Sunday, March 25, and a service celebrating Mary's life will be held at 10:00 am Monday, March 26, all at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, 1640 North State Route 291, Liberty. Burial will follow in Mount Washington Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Shriners' Hospitals for Children.

Mary was born September 21, 1947, in Strasburg, MO, the daughter of James and Opal Bailey. They preceded her in death. Mary was united in marriage to Thomas Harris Elmore on July 14, 1968. Tom preceded her in death on April 18, 2016. She retired from Ararat Shrine Temple where she worked in the office for several years.

Survivors include her children, Dezra Coulson (Troy) of Blue Springs, MO, Angela Funk (Mark) of Independence, MO, John Elmore of Albany, MO and Terry McGowen (Charlene) of Liberty, MO; siblings, Sharon Sewell of Perry, OK, Everett Cates (Barbara) of Kansas City, MO and Robert Cates (Beth) of Lee's Summit, MO; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, as well as other family members and friends.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Park Lawn Northland Chapel

Visitation: 3:00~5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Park Lawn Northland Chapel

Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery
