Jack E. Epperson

Jack Earnest Epperson, 90, of Weslaco, TX, formerly of Holt, MO, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2019 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.

Jack was born July 23, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, one of eight children of Arthur E. and Osha Helen (Oller) Epperson. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Mamie Pope on December 11, 1953. Jack served his country in the U.S. Army, receiving honorable discharge on February 7, 1957. He worked as a mechanic for Trans World Airlines for 32 years. Jack and Phyllis were members of the Holt United Methodist Church.

Along with his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a daughter, Ella Downs, three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Phyllis; daughters, Kathy Huck, Debbie McFadden and Rhonda Clark (Marty); grandchildren, Tony Huck, Sara Sherertz (Ben) and Rachel Yount (Steven); and great grandchildren, Walker Huck, Lukas Yount and Brynn Yount.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm, on Monday, October 21, at Park Lawn Lathrop Chapel, 901 Clinton Street, Lathrop, MO. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Holt, MO.
