Essie F Brands born October 23, 1931 in Elmo, MO died peacefully March 22, 2024, in Belton, MO.
Essie worked for Safeway as a meat cutter and then a butcher for 27 years. She also worked at the IRS for 6 years.
Essie had been a member of Ruskin Heights Baptist Church for 39 years until it sold, then she became a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church.
She loved games of all kinds, and when she would win it was even better as you could hear the laughter and excitement in her voice.
Essie is preceded in Death by her husband, John C. Brands, her parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters including her twin, son grandson, stepdaughter, and 2 sons-in-law.
She is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Campbell, Virginia (Randy) Marshall, son Fred (Carrie) Boyer, and stepchildren, Michael (Janice) Brands and Duane (Theresa) Brands.
Essie had several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be 12PM, with services to follow at 1PM, Tuesday, March 26 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.
