Virginia Sue (Hopson Miller) Fox, 83, of Mission, TX and formerly of Lathrop, MO, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2018 at Comfort House in McAllen, TX with family at her side. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Ginny's life at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, December 27, at Park Lawn Lathrop Chapel, 901 Clinton Street, Lathrop, MO. Graveside services will follow at the Lathrop Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Global Orphan Project, 3161 Wyandotte, Kansas City, MO 64111 (goproject.org).

Ginny was born May 25, 1935, in Paris, Arkansas, the daughter of Albert Millinghouse and Sula (Heidgerken) Hopson. She graduated from Watsonville High School in Watsonville, CA. Along with her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Albert “Fritz” Fox; sisters, Bess Curry and Marion Fletcher; and granddaughter, Michaela McClelland. Ginny worked many years as a real estate broker of farmland and residential properties. She also worked alongside Fritz at their businesses in the Lathrop community.

Survivors include children, Dianna Fox Clark (Bob), Susan Miller Thompson, Michael Fox (Beth), Diana “Dede” Miller (Sue), Carol Miller Hash (Donnie), Christy Jo Fox Tackett (David), Kimberly Fox Howard (Mark) and Richard Kevin Fox (Kelly); 25 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren; brother, Othel Alvin Hopson (Marion); brothers-in-law, Robert Fletcher and James “Pete” Fox (Maureen); and nieces and nephews.

Service Information

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Ginny’s life at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, December 27, at Park Lawn Lathrop Chapel, 901 Clinton Street, Lathrop, MO. Graveside services will follow at the Lathrop Cemetery.
