Gregory Edward Frank, 68, passed away surrounded by his loved ones at Research Medical Center, April 12, 2021. Gregory was born May 10, 1952 in Independence, MO to Patricia Parks Frank and Edward Allen Frank.

He married Patricia Lee Wilson in 1969. Robert Gregory Frank and Jeffrey Lee Frank were born to this marriage.

As a patriot, Greg joined the U. S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era serving his time as an MP in Okinawa. After serving as a Marine, Greg returned to finish his education at NMSU, now Truman State University, Kirksville, MO, a member of the Delta Omicron Mus (DOMs). He married Ann G. (Angie) Gleason, who preceded him in death. After working and living in Arizona and California, Greg returned to Kansas City. When Greg wasn’t working, he had a passion for his Harley-Davidson motorcycles, his Chows and Bernese Mountain dogs and time with family and friends were most important to him.

Greg was preceded in death by his first grandson, Barry Douglas Frank, Belton, MO, his youngest son, Jeffrey Lee Frank, Queensland, Australia, his father, Edward Allen Frank, Kansas City, MO, maternal grandparents, Lawrence W. Parks and Fern Elizabeth (Garrett) Parks, Independence, MO and paternal grandparents, Lester D. Frank and Leona (Libeer) Frank, Kansas City, MO.

Greg is survived by his oldest son, Robert Gregory Frank, Harrisonville, MO, four grandchildren, Brandon Jeffrey Frank, Queensland, Australia, Robert Tyler Frank, Harrisonville, MO, Daniel Joseph Frank, Harrisonville, MO, Katie Marie Frank, Independence, MO one great-grandson, Hunter Ray Hubbard, Independence, MO; his mother, Patricia (Parks) Frank Benson, Kansas City, MO; sister, Susan Frank Richardson, Leawood, KS; brother Douglas Parks Frank, Kansas City, MO; niece, Hilary Richardson Ceman and Dr. Anthony P. Ceman, and great nephew, Charles Lawrence Ceman, Roeland Park, Kansas. Gregory leaves behind many friends who love him and miss him. Greg’s infectious grin, his wit, sense of humor, generous and helpful nature endeared him to many.

There will be a memorial service held at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd, Kansas City, MO 64138 on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1:00 o’clock p.m. with graveside service immediately following.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Naughty Pine located at 10008 E 63rd Street, Raytown, MO 64133 on Saturday, May 8, 2021.
