Frank Montesano, 96, passed away July 19th, 2024. He was born August 15, 1927 to Joseph and Lena "Chiodo" Montesano. He was the seventh of nine children.
Frank enlisted in the Army in 1945 where he was stationed in Inchon, Korea. He received an honorable discharge in 1947. He married his childhood neighbor, Evelyn Jean Hackett in 1950, and they had 3 children together. After her passing in 1968, he married Marion Sage in 1978.
Frank was employed with the Illinois Central & Gulf Railroad for 36 years. He retired from the railroad as a General Care Foreman. After retiring, he moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, fishing and square dancing.
He attended the Gravois Mills United Methodist Church and was involved with the Men's Fellowship Group. He was also a member of the Versailles Masonic Lodge #320.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Evelyn, his wife Marion, all eight of his siblings, and his son Patrick.
He is survived by his son Robert (Lisa) Montesano, and daughter Jami (Steve) Wells. Grandchildren: Kody (Shawn), Derek, Nicole (Scott), Erica (Scott) Robert (Mary Beth). His Great Grandchildren: Carson, Sophia, Andrew, Aiden, Abram, Elise, Ella, Max, Aria, and Great Great grandson Maverick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
