Gabriel Valencia

          Gabriel Valencia, 76, of Northeast Kansas City, passed away April 28, 2023, at Addington Place where he lived the past year.

          Gabe was born March 24, 1947, in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico, the son of Enrique Valencia and Soledad Rodriguez.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Nicole. Gabe worked many years for the Kansas City Police Department and had a passion for upholstering in his home. He loved to visit and never knew a stranger. He enjoyed playing the guitar, dancing, and soccer. 

          Survivors include his wife, Anna (Drab) Valencia; children, Ulises, Sandra, Heidi, and Armando; 14 grandchildren; siblings, Martha, Enrique, Beatrice, Graciela, Ulises, Corina, and Jonathan; and many nieces and nephews. 

          Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm, followed by a service at 5:00 pm, on Wednesday, May 3, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO.
