Gary Steele

Gary Brent Steele May 8, 1946 - September 1, 2024

Gary B. Steele of North Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on September 1, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Jean Steele of Independence, Missouri.

Gary is survived by his two daughters, Lori, husband (Mark) Chojnacki and Jennifer husband (Scott) Liles of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; his two brothers, John Steele of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jim Steele, wife (Shelley) of Raymore, Missouri; five grandchildren, five nieces, and one nephew.

Born in 1946, Gary grew up in Raytown, Missouri. After graduating from Raytown High School in 1964, he enlisted in the Navy and served his country on the USS San Marcos during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he found employment with Ford Motor Company, where he worked alongside his father and retired as a line foreman after 30 years.

Gary had a youthful soul and was always known for his quick-witted responses. He enjoyed his retirement, finding joy in the simple things in life. He was an avid follower of the stock market and, in his early years, loved hunting and the outdoors.

Gary was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
