James “Jimmy” Edward Gladieux

James Edward "Jimmy" Gladieux, 71, of Lee's Summit, passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2020 at St. Joseph Medical Center, following complications from diabetes and kidney failure.

Jimmy was born March 26, 1949, in Chillicothe, MO, the eldest of five children of Edward Gladieux and Jane Ellen (Williams) Gladieux. His family moved to Kansas City, KS, when Jimmy was six years old and he graduated in 1967 from Turner High School. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Loyce Elaine Easter, on February 10, 1968. Jimmy's career as a bricklayer spanned four decades and he was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Local 15.

Along with his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby and Jon Dale Gladieux. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Loyce; children, Randi Pyle (Scott), Aaron Gladieux (Tina) and Jack Gladieux (Michelle); grandchildren, Hannah, Caitlin, Lauren, Colton, Jake, Ryan, Emilie and Josie; sisters, Brenda Maier and Cindy Sawyer (Ron); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Jimmy's life at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, November 17, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 pm at St. Columban Catholic Cemetery in Chillicothe, MO. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Service Information:

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Jimmy’s life at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, November 17, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 pm at St. Columban Catholic Cemetery in Chillicothe, MO.
