Glenda Lameda Winn, 83, of Liberty, MO, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.
Lameda was born November 18, 1939, in Dixie, Arkansas, the daughter of Oscar Newton and Leron (Diggs) Ring. She was united in marriage to William E. “Dub” Winn on January 17, 1958, and they were blessed with three children, Stephen, Stacy, and Scott. Lameda worked many years at Trails Inn Restaurant in Liberty and owned her own commercial cleaning business. She was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Lameda was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dub; and siblings, Bill Ring, Glendale Ring, Bonnie Ring, Wilburn Ring, and an infant twin sister Lafreda Winn. Survivors include her children, Stephen Winn (Anne), Stacy Ross and Scott Winn (Ellie); siblings, Rev. David Ring, Benetta Baker and Janice Doss; grandchildren, David Neff (Cristine), Meghan Argent (Christopher), Michael Thomas, Deron Winn, Devin Winn, Deon Winn, Ashley Rocha and Sheldon Tabor; great grandchildren, Owen, Jake, Adriana, McKenna, Sofia, Nova, Amelia, and a great grandson due in October; as well as other family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Lameda’s life at 11:00 am, on Saturday, July 8, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Burial will follow at Glenridge Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
