Frances Virginia Glenn, 97, of Kansas City, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born April 6, 1923 to Joseph and Teresa (Falcone) Grego. Frances grew up in the Northeast area and graduated from Northeast High School and Kansas City Business College. Following her graduation, she worked as a secretary for Corn Products and traveled with friends. On June 28, 1952, she married Edward Glenn and they went on to have two children. Along with being a homemaker, she was involved with her kids’ schools and activities and also had several part time jobs throughout her life. Ed and Frances were married for 38 years until his death in 1990. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Frances was a resident of Gladstone from 1955 until 2014. She thought Gladstone was a great place to live and was involved in many activities with their Senior group. For the past seven years, she has lived at Garden Village Retirement Apartments. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Ralph Grego and a great granddaughter.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Michelle Kaighen (Richard), Kansas City and her son, Larry Glenn (Diane), Kansas City. She also leaves five grandchildren: Ryan Kaighen, Katrina Frazier, Alisha Morgan, Katelyn Corkill and Dylan Glenn and four great grandchildren. In addition, she leaves behind a special friend of 92 years, Dixie Lou Morris. They met their first day of Kindergarten. Family was of utmost importance to her and they will always remember gathering around the table for her famous spaghetti dinners. Frances (Gigi) was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.
