Glenn Ross Jones was born on Leap Day February 29, 1936 and died November 10, 2024.

He was born to Jesse M. Jones and Ellen Francis Jones in a taxi cab near the door of K.C General Hospital, in Kansas City, MO.

Ross' Mom Ellen died when he was about three years old. His Dad Jesse remarried Beulah Minerva Bryant.

Ross had 3 older brothers: Jess (wife Teresa) of Texas, Gary (wife Ollie Marina) of Independence, MO, Norman (wife Bonnie) of Mount Vernon, MO. He had 2 younger brothers: Larry of KS, and Daniel (wife Velma) of Independence, MO. All of Ross' brothers preceded him in death.

Ross married Shirley Estes on July 4, 1957. Ross said the day he met Shirley, they were always meant to be together. Shirley died March 16, 1996.

Ross was a mechanical engineer. He very much loved his family. He enjoyed his friends, walking, swimming, and Ameristar Casino.

Ross and Shirley have three daughters: Sherry Crugar (David) of Blue Springs, MO, Glenda Wilson (Todd) of Suwanee, GA, and Christine Rogers (Lee) of Independence, MO.

They were blessed with grandchildren Nicole, Joseph, Charles, Jessica, Jennifer, Holly and Harmony. Also, blessed with great-grandchildren Malaina, Brielle, and Olivia. He loved his many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, at Stonehaus Farms Winery, 24607 NE Colbern Road, Lee's Summit MO 64086.  The Telephone number is 816-809-2224.
