Linda M. Goings

Linda Goings lost her battle with cancer and was called home March 17, 2019. Linda was born May 27, 1952, to Wayne and Ruth Goings. She was a graduate of Northeast High and Penn Valley Community College. Linda was a nurse her entire adult life, working at Children’s Mercy, Lee’s Summit hospital and Aetna. Linda was preceded in death by both parents Ruth and Wayne Goings and a brother David. Linda leaves behind 3 sisters, Carol (Mike) Keepes of Lee’s Summit, Terry Cichy of Kansas City and Susan Wilcox of Warrensburg. Her nieces and nephews Angela (Scott) Sanstra of Kansas City, Christopher Cruz of Overland Park, Autumn Wilcox of Kansas City, Schylar Wilcox of Warrensburg, great niece Lindsey Cruz(Anthony) of Gladstone and a great nephew Bentley McVicker of Kansas City. Linda leaves behind numerous friends and professional associates from a lifetime of care giving. The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nursing staff that took care of Linda during her battle. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23, at 10am at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd.; private burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please consider giving a donation to Kansas City Hospice.
