Opal Lowanda (Sailor) Graham, 94, a longtime Liberty resident, joined her Lord and Savior on December 16, 2019. She passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Opal's life at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, December 19, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Burial will follow in Glenridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Liberty Baptist Church, where Opal was a member for 50 years; 1000 Birmingham Road, Liberty, MO 64068.
Opal was born February 28, 1925, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, the daughter of Gus and Minnie (Rose) Sailor. Along with her parents, Opal was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. She was united in marriage to Vernon Dorse Graham on July 30, 1945, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Opal leaves her husband of 74 years, Vernon; children, Darrell Graham, Sue Donnell (Stanley) and Dennis Graham; grandchildren, Christopher Graham (Alli), Heather Muldowney (Kevin), Julie Tritten (Tom), Malinda Brownfield (Chris) and Jason Donnell; great grandchildren, Graham, John, Bailey, Caseye and Caleigh; siblings, Helen Feher and Loral Sailor (Mary); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
Service Information:Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Opal’s life at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, December 19, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Burial will follow in Glenridge Cemetery.
