Minnie Ellen Gregory (Nani Minnie), 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 26, 2020. Minnie was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Lewis M. and Julia R. Duncan on November 15, 1925. Minnie was an entertainer and sang with her dad’s band. She also worked at the Tower, Midland and Uptown Theaters. Minnie met the love of her life, Harold “Brick” Gregory and they were married on March 19, 1942. Minnie and Brick had three sons, Daniel “Danny”, Lloyd and Rick. Minnie was a Sunday school teacher for many years at Bethany Baptist Church; she was a Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack 132 and a volunteer at Swope Ridge Geriatric Center for seven years. Minnie was a member of Northland Cathedral Church and attended the Bible Expedition Class where they still can hear her say that it’s a “Personal Relationship” when it comes to God. For the past three years Minnie lived at a Long-Term care facility where you could find her smiling, waving and hugging the other residents. She never complained and brought joy to everyone she met. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband Brick, son Danny, brothers Lewis, Eddie, and Finis, sisters Wanetta (Nino) and Elsie. Minnie is survived by her sons Lloyd (Phyllis) and Rick (Dawn), grandchildren Danny Gregory (Christi), Sean Gregory (Dawn), Aimee Thompson (Charles), Brandon Gregory (Gina), Carla Hall (Jerry), Joe Gregory (Denise), Brett Gregory, Carl Gregory (Caitlin), 15 great- grandchildren, 4 step great- grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
