Jane Teresa Bucksath Grossman, 82, of Olathe, KS, and formerly of Gladstone and Sunrise Beach, MO, passed away August 28, 2022, at Anthology of Olathe where she lived the past four years.
Jane was born September 11, 1939, in Brunswick, MO, the youngest of nine children of Christopher and Margaret (McGee) Bucksath. She was united in marriage to Melvin D. Grossman on December 29, 1956, and they were together 62 years until his death in 2019. Jane was a lifelong Catholic and a member of St. Charles Borromeo parish when living in Gladstone and Shrine of St. Patrick parish when living at Sunrise Beach. Jane was a talented seamstress and worked in Liberty and Gladstone.
Along with her parents and husband, Jane was preceded in death by an infant son, William Denny Grossman; infant brothers, Robert and Richard Bucksath; and four other brothers, William, Christopher, John and Jerry Bucksath.
Jane is survived by three children, Theresa Meyer (Michael "Tim"), David Grossman (Laurie) and Donald Grossman (Enid); eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a 20th due any time. She also leaves two siblings, Joseph Bucksath and Mary Bearden, as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The Rosary will be said at 5:00 pm, followed by visitation until 7:00 pm, on Thursday, September 1, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 2, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Lane, Gladstone, MO. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
