Betty Hardee, 89, passed away on July 12, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Betty was born on January 27, 1932 to Lew and Lola Coleman of Hopkins, MO. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband Ron, her 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Betty is survived by her son Terry Hardee; her son Gary Hardee and wife Jan; her daughter Ronda Schmidt and husband Bob. Betty leaves behind her grandchildren Brad Hardee and wife Crystal; Barry Hardee and wife Kristy; Dustin Hardee; Ronny Hardee and wife Melinda; Kevin Hardee and wife Jackie; Georgia Sears; Clint Hardee and wife Kiley; Megan Baum and husband Luke; Ryan Schmidt and wife Emma; Faith Hardee; Emily Wills and husband Kyle; Aaron Hymes and wife Laura. Betty also leaves behind great-grandchildren: Summer, Chase, Logan, Coleman, Alyssa, Bree, Melia, Meika, Kiya, Kerrigan, Carson, Makenna, Mia, Nora, Stella, Fletcher, Kinley, Tayland, Caleb, Camryn, Callie, Ainsley, Noah, Parker and many nieces and nephews. Betty was blessed to have her niece Stacy care for her the last 3 years.
Betty met the love of her life, Ron Hardee in 1949 in Hopkins, MO. and they were married in 1951. Ron and Betty moved to Kansas City in 1955 where Ron worked as a carpenter. Betty had several jobs, but first and foremost was taking care of her husband Ron and their 3 children, Terry, Gary and Ronda.
Betty was so generous of her time and money. She greatly impacted the lives around her and helped so many people for the better. Even as her health was failing she continued to help others in need.
Betty served her Lord diligently at Blue Ridge Baptist Temple for over 25 years and eventually South Haven Baptist church in Belton MO. Her influence and impact has touched the lives of those around her but especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren! There was nothing phony about Betty. She was a witness for Jesus Christ and lived her life in service of our Lord. Her testimony was strong as she entered the gates of Heaven on July 12, 2021 to be greeted by her Savior and those who went before her. Betty was a stirring example for her family and her friends and she will be greatly missed by all.
Private burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Real Life Church, 1912 Harold Dr., Raymore, MO 64083.
