Minnie M. Harden

Minnie Harden, 91, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, May 13, 2021.   Minnie was born in Kansas City, Missouri to her Bulgarian immigrant parents, Mike and Pena Evanoff. She lived in Kansas City until 2016 when she and Sam, her husband of 68 years, moved to a senior living community in Overland Park, Kansas.

Minnie graduated from East High School and worked at Sears & Roebuck as a credit collector. She enjoyed knitting & crocheting, gardening, fishing, and traveling with Sam. She especially enjoyed when her catch outweighed Sam’s.

Minnie was preceded in death by Sam, her three older brothers and her parents. Minnie is survived by her three children and their spouses; Eli (Donna) Harden, Kevin (Brenda) Harden, and Karen (Clay) Miller; grandchildren Emilie (Steve) Young, Andrea (Clark) Shadrach, Ethan Harden, Brenden (Jessie) Miller, and Melissa Harden (Jordan Smith); and great grandsons Thomas Harden and William Spencer Shadrach and Henry Samuel Young.

Graveside services will be held at 10AM, Wednesday, May 19 in Green Lawn Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri.
