Harley Dale Tucker, 92, of Liberty, MO, passed away March 1, 2023, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO.
Dale was born July 31, 1930, in Olean, MO, one of ten children of Clarence Clay and Emma Mae (Thompson) Tucker. He grew up in Miller County and graduated from Tuscumbia High School. He later joined the US Army in 1951. After serving in Germany, Dale received honorable discharge as a Corporal in 1953 at Camp Campbell, KY. Dale was united in marriage to Juanita Joan Flower on June 15, 1963, and they were married 54 years until her death in 2017.
Dale’s career with Ford Motor Company spanned 30 years at the Claycomo plant before he retired in 1990. He was a member of UAW Local 249. His passions included all sports, especially the Royals and Chiefs. He loved the outdoors and raised cattle on the farm in his early years. Dale enjoyed fishing, traveling throughout the US, and camping with the ”Fun Bums”. He especially loved spending time with his family. Dale was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, being baptized at Saline Valley Church of Christ in Miller County.
Along with his parents and wife Juanita, Dale was preceded in death by six brothers, Henry, Gene, Paul, Bob, Dan, and Tom. Survivors include three siblings, Hershel Tucker, Mary Hendley and Helen Koberowski; as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm, on Friday, March 10, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Burial will follow at Glenridge Cemetery.
