February 17, 1953 — December 18, 2021

George Clifford "Cliff" Harper, age 68, of the Kansas City Northland went to be with Jesus on December 18, 2021 at North Kansas City Hospital.

Cliff was born February 17, 1953 in Springfield, MO. He graduated from Kearney Senior High School in Missouri and later received his Bachelor's degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. Cliff was united in marriage to Cynthia Jane Stockbridge on May 21, 1977.

Cliff was Plant Manager for Teepak in North Kansas City, working 29+ years until the location closed. He then went to work as Director of Operations at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty. He was an Ordained Deacon at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was also an Eagle Scout and member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Cliff faithfully served his church and community until his death. His passions included watching all sports, especially the Chiefs and Royals, camping with his grandsons, and never passing up a good deal at an auction.

Cliff was preceded in death by his father, Carl A. Harper; mother, Virgie Spain; and an infant daughter, Emily Ann Harper.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Cynthia; and daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Rob Norris. He was Papa to two adoring grandsons, Logan and Austin. Cliff also leaves siblings and their families; and countless friends.

Visitation will begin at 11:30 am, followed by a service celebrating Cliff's life at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Gladstone, MO.

We love Cliff very much! What a joy Cliff was and is now in Heaven. He was always blessing our adoption meetings before they started for many years. Cliff set the tone checking on us to make sure everything was set and to ask about our plans and activities. He truly cared about missions and important causes. He loved people, and we definitely love and loved him. We also send hugs and love to his family. Cliff is leaving a legacy in many powerful ways for the Lord Jesus Christ, and we are truly grateful! Praying for you all!

Cindy & Katie and family, we were so very sorry to hear of the untimely loss of Cliff. Before we moved to Ft Worth, our fondest memories of PVBC were our small group outings, joys and tears we shared. Cliff's visit to Ft Worth (along with others in our Promise Keepers Group from PVBC) to see Ron will always be special to us and to Kathy. Our prayers are with you during this challenging time. May the Lord continue to comfort you all.

Dear Cindy and Katie, I am sorry to hear of your loss. I have lived down the road from you for 43 years. I always saw you working with the flowers at Pleasant Valley. You always smiled and waved at me as I went into the church to walk. Cliff always stopped to visit and was so cheerful and kind. My heart goes out to you and I will keep you in my prayers. Blessings to your lovely family.

Cliff was a great leader and a real pleasure to work for at Teepak. He was always fair with people, treated them with respect. Remember spend much of the day with Cliff, Dave DeVoe, Shelly Breashears and the Teepak team watching TV’s on 9-11-2001. Wishing the Harper family deepest sympathy for your loss. Heaven has another great man.

Cindy, Kate and family, Words seem inadequate to share my sadness in hearing that Cliff was called home, too soon, for all that know and love him. However I know his home coming celebration was of pure JOY. When one puts his faith and service into such beautiful practice, shares a solid belief in Jesus, like Cliff, and is ushered into the presence of our Heavenly Father, it can only be glorious! I have no doubt! What a beautiful example of love and servanthood Cliff shared with us all. Please accept my sincere sympathy as you endure time here on earth without his presence, but live with reassurance that we have much to look forward to when we join him in glory! You will remain in my prayers in the days ahead Hugs~

Dear Cynthia and Family, Barbara and I are so saddened by the news about Cliff. He was such a servant of God and will be deeply missed by everyone at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. We will be in prayer for you and your family during this difficult time. The comfort that we experience during loss of a loved one is knowing without a doubt, that Cliff is Home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We love you. In Christ, Jerry & Barbara Seever

Cindy and Katie: My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. I have been blessed with many friendships over my life time. Cliff was one of the most special. I never had a hesitation in calling on Cliff for anything. He was their if I needed him. Memories come rushing back of the good times and the tough times we shared together. As much as the loss of his passing troubles my heart I cannot imagine the hurt and loss you two are feeling. Knowing Cliff’s love of the Lord and his profession of faith in Jesus Christ is helping me face the days ahead without my friend. May God grant you comfort and peace In the coming days and months.
