Amanda Marie Hart, 26, of the Kansas City Northland, passed peacefully at home on December 29, 2021, surrounded by those she loved. She bravely fought a three-year battle with brain cancer.
Amanda was born February 28, 1995, in Kansas City, Missouri, the younger of two daughters of Rick and Leanne (Trocosso) Hart. She grew up in south Kansas City and graduated from O'Hara High School. She was a member of St. Regis Catholic Church. Amanda proudly worked for the Kansas City Police Department as a Detention Facility Officer until her health no longer permitted.
Amanda leaves her parents, Rick and Leanne; sister and brother-in-law, Liz and Blayne Newton; nephew, Noah; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Darless Hart; aunt, Lyne Hart; as well as cousins, other family members and friends who will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leroy and Betty Trocosso.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by Rosary and blessing service at 3:00 pm, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Amanda's honor to the KCPD Care Team.
