August 22, 1964 — February 2, 2022

Katherine Louise Norris Perkins Heaviland, "Kathy", passed away peacefully on February 2, 2022 at NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City.

Kathy was born in Kansas City, MO on August 22, 1964. She was the daughter of Wayne Crowder of Warsaw, MO and Mary Norris Taylor (deceased).

Kathy loved her grandchildren and enjoyed them spending the night. She liked cooking, watching the Chiefs, fishing and Civil War reenactments. When she met her husband Richard, she began to cook for the "Civil War" group, making loaves of bread and lots of soups. Kathy enjoyed the "Civil War" life so much that she and Richard had a "Civil War" wedding!

Kathy is preceded in death by her "Nana" Mabel Norris; mom, Mary Norris Taylor; and sister, Mary Ann Brisbine.

Survivors include her husband, Richard, of the home in Liberty, MO; daughter, Tiffany Greer of Liberty, MO; daughter, Danielle Perkins of Dearborn, MO; step-son, Miles Heaviland of Blue Springs, MO; sister, Tammy Stick (Dave) of Claycomo, MO; brother, Robbie Taylor of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Kaylin, McKenna, Krystalin, Cayson, Eric, Hunter and Steven; other family members and many friends including her "besties" Denise Ulrich Pilcher Hall and Stachia Ferguson.

Kathy was a beautiful person. Everyone who knew her loved her. She never met a stranger and will be missed by many. R.I.P.
