HELEN LOUISE SHOWERS

          Helen Louise (Hitzeman) Showers, 96, of Gladstone, MO, passed away March 25, 2023, at home with her daughter Sheri at her side.

          Helen was born December 3, 1926, in Emporia, KS, one of five children of Emil Herman and Minnie (Foerster) Hitzeman.  Along with her parents, Helen was preceded in death by three siblings, Dorothy Lucy, Fred Hitzeman, and Wilma Simpson. 

          Survivors include two children, Sheri Norris and Dean Showers (Chris); six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.  She also leaves a sister, Marcie Corpening, as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.    

          Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Helen’s life at 2:00 pm, on Monday, April 3, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO.  Burial will follow at Glenridge Cemetery.
