Helen Marie Henderson

Heaven gained the most beautiful Angel.  Helen Marie Henderson left this life peacefully at home on February 11th, 2023, at the age of 86 in Kansas City, Missouri. She is perfect. She is Peace. She is love.

Helen left this life, one day after their 68th Wedding Anniversary to the Love of her life, William Henderson.

Helen was born June 30th, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri; the daughter of Alfred and Emma Gunderson, sister to 4 siblings, granddaughter, niece, cousin, sister-n-law and aunt to many extended members of her large family.

Helen. Beautiful. Kind. Faithful. The most Loving. Intelligent. Empathetic. The best Cook. The best Can Do Everything Mom. The Best Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Heart. Now we must learn how to breathe without her. We know she is with us. She gave us the best of herself, as she did to whom all she loved. She taught us to be the very best we can be, with the most Love.

Survivors include her beloved husband William, children Lorna, Robert and Catherine, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Susan Krueger, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her son William Jr., brother Marvin Gunderson, sister Betty Woods, sister Barbara Morcha, as well as extended family members.

Graveside Services will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 18th, 2023 at the Green Lawn Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri with Elder Joseph Chapman Officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to The American Stroke Association in Helen Henderson's honor.
