Virgle Dale Hickman, 85, of Liberty, died Aug 16, 2018. Visitation 1-2 PM, followed by 2 PM services, on Fri, Aug 24 at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, 1640 N. State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Virgle was born May 8, 1933 to John Ray and Ethel Lily (Arney) Hickman, in Mercer County, MO. He was a resident of Liberty, MO for 60 years where he lived happily with his wife Carole until her passing in 2013. Virgle was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served in the United States Army. He was a retiree of Ford Motor Co. and a proud member of UAW Local 249. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, camping and hunting with his much loved hound dogs. Virgle will be greatly missed.

Virgle is preceded in death by his wife, parents and sister Luvene Buzzard. He leaves behind daughters Rita Munnerlyn (Jim) and Sandy True (Mark); grandchildren Courtney Hickman (fiancée, Jacob Moeller), Merrissa Shutt (C.J.), Katie Barber, Jimmy Dale Munnerlyn; great grandchildren Emma Katherine Hickman, and soon to arrive Gideon Shutt; siblings Coleman Hickman of Spickard, MO, Kate Ethridge of KCKS, Gene Pfeiffer of Mercer, MO, John Hickman of Liberty, MO and Okema Miller of Gladstone, MO.
