Genevieve Trezvant-Hill, 88, passed away October 2, 2021 at her home, surrounded by family. Genevieve was born November 8, 1932 in Morrilton, Arkansas to Timothy Trezvant and Joe Willie Palmer. Genevieve accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. She married Albert F. Hill in 1956 and to this union, daughter Latonya M. Hill-Mitchell and step daughter Rita K. Downs were born. She was married to Albert for 71 years. She worked as the first black female engineer for AT&T Telephone Company in Kansas City, Missouri. Genevieve was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Marylin A. Smith, son Robert Smith Jr and grandson Robert Smith III. Survivors include her husband Albert F. Hill, her daughter Latonya M. Hill-Mitchell, step daughter Rita K. Downs, daughter in lawn Elna Ann Smith, 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10AM, with services to follow at 11AM, Thursday, October 14 at St. Stephen Baptist Church, 1414 E. Truman Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Masks are required at church and all COVID protocols will be followed.
