Willie L. Hill

Willie Lee Hill was born February 20, 1941 in Yazoo, Mississippi to Ruth and Charles Hill who preceded him in death. He was one of fifteen children to be born to this union and an identical twin, Rufus Hill. Willie and Rufus together they were nicknamed, Pig and Schoot. They also received Christ together at an early age. Rufus also preceded him in death. Willie attended William Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri and received his license in cosmetology. Willie worked for Harrigan Motors and Dick Taylor. After working Dick Taylor, Willie became an entrepreneur. He became one of the best car detailer in the city and went on to own several shops across Kansas City, MO, Denson, TX, and Atlanta, GA. Willie later moved back to Kansas City, MO where he lived out the rest of his life until death. In December of 1958 he met the love of his life Delorse Cyprus; she was introduced to him by Rosie Smith who later became her sister-in-law Rosie Hill. It only took Willie and Delorse 3 months of dating before they were married and that is when the 64 years love story began. During the 64 years, unfortunately both Delorse and Willie both were diagnosed with Alzherimers. Willie proceeds in death with his seven brothers, Eligha, Eddie, Charles Jr., Rufus, James, Kenneth and Robert Hill. Two Sisters, Marie Drew and Martha Simmons. His son, Vincent Hill and his “Brother from Another Mother” George Vaughn Jr. Willie was a kind, loving and compassionate man who met no strangers and would lend a hand to everyone who came in contact and needed help. He had a very special bond with his grandkids. He called his grandsons his “little buddies” and his granddaughter that “Mik”. Him and his only daughter, Patrice Cadenhead, who was a Daddy’s Girl. Willie and his sons also had special bonds that could not be broken. Willie leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Delorse Hill, 1 Daughter: Patrice(Charles Cadenhead) of Grandview, MO. 1 Son: Willie Hill(Keshia) of Independence, MO. One Daughter-In-Law, Chinelle Hill of Kansas City, MO. Six grandchildren, Charlie Cadenhead, Tamika Daniels, Ke’Lan Mitchell(Robbyn), Sylvester Butler(Jacquin), Blake Pool and Jordan Wilson, all of Kansas City. 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, all of Kansas City, MO. One brother-in-law, Billy Malvern of Denison, TX. Four sisters-in-law, Johnnie Mae Nero or Denison, TX and Debbie Snell of California and LaVern Hill and Patricia Hill of Kansas City, MO. 3 brothers, Henry(Cecil) Hill and Brothers from another mother Charles McKinny and Lee Bohanan of Grandview, MO. One sister, Anna(King Williams) of Kansas City Missouri. With a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation will be 11:30AM, with services to follow at 12:30PM, Saturday, January 8 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Family request all in attendance to wear masks.
