Mary “Mick” Hinshaw

Mary Elizabeth (Mick) Hinshaw, 80, of Liberty, MO, and former longtime Lathrop resident, passed away October 14, 2020 at Ashton Court in Liberty.

Mary was born November 19, 1939, in Lathrop, MO, one of 11 children of John and Gertrude (Combs) Hawkins. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by eight siblings and her first husband, Alva Mick.

Mary worked many years filling orders for Ben Franklin stores at their warehouse in North Kansas City. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Lathrop.

Survivors include her children, Billy Mick, Scotty Mick and Jana King (Mike); grandchildren, Carla, Nicholas, Courtney, Heidie, Brad, Andy, Annie and Jacob; 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Arlene, Shirley and Delores; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 24, at Lathrop Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Lathrop Cemetery Association.
