Martha L. Hodge

We celebrate the life and work of Martha Hodge, who was a faithful servant of the Lord until her passing on September 5, 2020, in Sarasota, Florida, 25 days before her 92nd birthday. Sister Martha was a member of Rosser-Simpson CME Church, for over 50 years; until its closing in 2018, Reverend Carmen Williams was her Pastor With the closing of Rosser-Simpson, and Martha united with Jamison Memorial Temple CME Church, where Pastor Faith Allen was her Pastor. Martha worked tirelessly in the church, showing a great love of the Lord as well as a commitment to uplifting the kingdom of God, here on earth.

She was involved in several ministries at church, as well as being formerly appointed President of the Greater Kansas City Area Lay Council and First Vice President of the Missouri District Lay Ministry.

We rejoice in knowing that she is reunited with the family members, friends and loved ones who had gone ahead of her to meet with the Lord. “Well done thy good and faithful servant.”

Graveside committal services for Martha L Hodge will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Green Lawn Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138.
