Lessie Holloway

Lessie B. Holloway was born on January 16, 1940, to Dan and Mary Morrison in Washington Arkansas. She graduated from Yerger High School in Hope Arkansas in 1959.   Lessie met and married the love of her life, Hermon, on October 17, 1959. To this union, they were blessed with three daughters, Carol, Elaine, and Sharon. After traveling extensively with the Armed Services as a military wife for over twenty years, Lessie settled with Hermon and their daughters in Kansas City, Missouri in 1974, where she was a homemaker and completed cosmetology school.

Lessie carried her faith in God and belief in family values throughout her life. She was a devoted mother to her children. She found delight in her grandchildren as well and always had time to spend with them, creating wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

Lessie passed from this world to walk with our Lord on the sunny afternoon of August 4, 2018.   Preceding her in death was her husband, both her parents as well as three brothers Joe, Daniel and Larry and one sister Clara.

She leaves, to cherish her memory, three daughters, Carol Nash (Ronald), Corpus Christi, TX, Elaine Holloway, San Antonio, TX, and Sharon Kraft (Kevin), Kansas City, MO; three sisters, Dorothy Wimbush, Angela Faith Young, and Cherry Morrison; all from Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren; Ronica Grant (Christopher), Montgomery, AL, James Nash, Corpus Christi, TX, Tamara Kraft, Tyler Kraft, Timothy Kraft, and Talia Kraft, all from Kansas City, MO; two great grandchildren; Kristina Grant and Christopher Grant III, Montgomery AL; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest, Kansas City, MO 64138, on Thursday, August 9, 2018, from 10:00am - 11:00am.

Procession to Leavenworth National Cemetery will follow for a 12:30pm committal service.
