She was comforted at the time of her death by her daughters, Denise and Deanna; her son-in-law, Steve; and her nurses, Pam and Dena. She left quickly as was her habit and many family members were not able to be at her bedside.

Barbara is survived by her 3 children: Denise & Steve Greenbaum, Deanna & Jon Jackson, and Donald De Freitas; her 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren: AJ & Serena Burningham (Noah & Mason), Mike & Jehna Betts (Alyssa, Dominick, Kaylynn, and Sarina), Matt Burningham, Alexandria Jackson & Eric Abbate, Dylan & Jamie Jackson (Ally, Chloe, & Sophia) and Jesse & Kaily Jackson (Ainslea, Aidan, & AnnaBella); and her brother, Charles Lindstrom. Barbara was born in San Francisco, California as Barbara Jan Lindstrom. She grew up in Pasadena, CA. She later moved to Las Vegas, NV, Winnemucca, NV, Conway, AR, and Kansas City, MO. Barbara had an eclectic career as a caterer, food truck operator, waitress, bartender, change person, and many others. Barbara was always a “People Person” and was never happier than when she was in a crowd of friends and family. She enjoyed dancing, soap operas, bingo, bridge, and parties.

Barbara’s passion was Social Work. She graduated with a Masters Degree in Social Work from UNLV in 1995. She was a Social Worker in Nevada (Las Vegas, Winnemucca, and Battle Mountain). She gave a class recently on handling stress at her home for her neighbors. Until the end, she wanted to help people cope with life issues.
