Van D. Hopper, 82, passed away March 15, 2022.  Van was born December 30, 1939, to LT and Cora Hopper, in Douglas County, Missouri. He was married to Judith Ann in 1963 and after service to his country in the United States Army, they settled in the Kansas City area and raised five children. Van was selfless in his love and service to his family and loved his bride faithfully for over 50 years. Hardworking and dedicated, he retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after 42 years. He spent the remainder of his life serving his Savior, Jesus Christ, enjoying his cherished family, and impacting this world and eternity through his integrity, humility and loving-kindness.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Hopper, parents, LT and Cora Hopper, siblings, Leon Hopper and JoAnn Heard, granddaughter Megan Blom, and great-grandson, Elliot Bonnesen.

Van is survived by daughter, Kaye Carter and husband, Greg, daughter, Amy Tusa and husband, Chris, son, Phillip Hopper and wife, Christa, son, Timothy Hopper and wife, Alisa, son, Mark Hopper, and wife Amanda, grandchildren, Rebecca, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Elissa, Manda, Jakob, Austin, Makay, Emily, Joshua, Joseph, Grace, Hudson, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10AM, with services to follow at 11AM, Saturday, March 19 at Abundant Life Church, 304 SW Persels, Lee's Summit, Missouri; burial in Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, Missouri.
