Jeanie L. Horovitz

Jeanie L. Horovitz, 89, passed away August 1, 2020. Jeanie was born to Ralph Earl and Rose Mary Dowell. She was one of 7 children. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Maurice Horovitz; sister Rosa Lee Dowell of Naples FL; her daughter Linda Henning and husband Earl of Mount Juliet, TN; daughter-in-law Sue Horovitz and husband Steven who preceded her in death; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren: Beth Gallion and husband Gary of Old Hickory, TN, (Alex, Zach and Evie - great granchildren); Christa Redd and husband Matthew of Brentwood, TN, (Mason and Chole - great grandchildren); Malinda Lindenmuth of Merriam, KS and husband Burton - (Benjamin - great grandchild); Brian Horovitz and wife Nancy of Kansas City, MO, (Amelia and Serenity); and her nieces and nephews.

Jeanie was a devoted wife and mother. She spent many years helping Maurice run his car business as his bookkeeper in her earlier years. She loved flower gardening, flower arranging, and she was very artistic taking classes in drawing. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved spending time with them when she could. In her declining years she enjoyed a photo frame that she received as a Christmas present that allowed her daily to see current pictures of her family.

Visitation will be 12PM, service 1PM, Saturday, August 8 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd.; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse International Disaster Relief.
