Peggy J. Houston

Peggy Jean Houston passed away on July 8th, 2022 at Trustwell Living of Overland Park (Formerly Bickford of Overland Park). Born to Fred Irwin and Beatrice Tomlinson on March 30, 1928, she was a longtime resident of south Kansas City, Mo. She graduated from Northeast High School in Kansas City Mo and later married Walter M. Houston. Walt and Peggy had three sons, Jeffery Michael, Walter Mark, and David Mathew.

Prior to her retirement she was employed at Federated Insurance. Peggy and Walt enjoyed many happy retirement years traveling with lifelong friends making their bucket list trip of getting to Hawaii.

Preceding her in death was her husband of sixty plus years Walt Houston, brother Robert Irwin, and sons Jeff, Mark, and Dave. She is survived by her grandson Erik Houston, daughter in law Alison Houston-Hayslett (Mark), nieces Lori Kulp, Denise Wyatt, Nancy Anderson, and nephew Bob Anderson.

A memorial service will be held at 10AM, Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; private burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Monarch Hospice, 7451 Switzer Road Suite 100, Shawnee, KS 66203.
