Irene W. Cole

Irene Wanda Cole, 80, of Shell Knob, Missouri passed away on July 17, 2023.

Irene was born January 4, 1943, in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. She met her beloved husband Ed Cole when he was in the Air Force stationed at Mountain Home AFB. They joined their hearts in marriage, on September 24, 1960. Irene and her beloved husband Ed had been married for 63 years.  Their hearts will be together eternally.  

Irene loved her family, friends, and was active with her husband Ed as members of Central Community United Methodist Church, Shell Knob, Missouri.

Irene is survived by her husband Edwin L Cole; children Maria Houston and Chuck (Kara) Cole; her grandchildren Brett (Christi) Burge, Sarah Houston, Travis (Jana) Houston, Karlee (AJ) Langston, and Carter Cole; her great-grandchildren Bella Burge, Finn Burge, and Cammy Jean Cole; her sisters, Edna Clevel Cristler, and Trina (Dan) Danreuther; and countless other loved ones. 

Irene was preceded in death by her father Mike Garner and mother Edna Fromal Garner; daughter Nicki Burge and son-in-law Mark Burge; brothers, Everett (Maxine) Garner and Donnie (Donna) Garner; sisters, Liska (Bill) Owings and Linda (Bob) Sapp.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. with the Funeral Services following at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery.
