Cole Morrison, David’s great nephew may have said it best:
“My Grandpa David died this morning. He had been in failing health for the last few years, and I know it has been very rough. I will miss him so much. He was a man of stature and size that could not be ignored, yet despite that, he was quiet, and thoughtful. He was particularly good at fine details, and never spoke without thinking. He will be missed, but I am glad that he is not suffering anymore.”
Matt May, David’s son-in-law said:
This passage is on a plaque in Dave and Doris’s home: Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control; against such there is no law. Those adjectives very aptly described Dave.
